Label and code inspection: DataMatrix and GS1
A label from another SKU or a code that won't read ends in a return or a pallet blocked in the customer's warehouse. With machine vision we check the label and read the code on every pack, and any pack that fails is rejected along with its photo.

One recipe per format, one verdict per pack

What we're often asked
Which codes can the cameras read?
GS1-128 barcodes and GS1 DataMatrix on the pack, and the SSCC on the pallet label. As well as reading them, we give their print quality grade and check that they match the product.
Can a label from another SKU be detected?
Yes. The recipe for each format knows which label it must carry, and a pack with the wrong label is rejected. It is especially useful for private label and format changeovers.
What happens if the pallet SSCC doesn't tally?
The reading is matched against the plant system and, if it doesn't match, the pallet is blocked from dispatch before it reaches the customer.
